Ship Happens

A game made in two days, inspired by Christopher Nolan.

For a Game Design school assignment, we had to create a game inspired by a Nolan film. We picked his upcoming feature, Odyssey, and specifically the Sirens scene. This is the result: a short, rough, deeply chaotic prototype made with online assets, way too much coffee, and not nearly enough time.

The Sirens are calling.

Every corner of the level hides a sound trigger, and the moment you hear it, you lose control of your ship. The Sirens will do everything they can to lure you off course.

Your only defense is to cover your eyes. Do this and you take back control instantly, but at a price: you lose your sight completely and have to navigate on memory alone, trusting whatever you remember of the layout around you.

Hear and lose control, or go blind and stay in charge. Pick your poison.

Controls

Move: WASD Cover your eyes: Spacebar

No controller support, keyboard only.

A note from us

This was built fast, for a class project, in about 48 hours total. It is short, it is rough around the edges, and most of the assets are not ours. But making it was such a blast that we wanted to share it anyway. Thanks for checking it out!
